And so my challenge begins.... I have been lucky enough to secure a place in the Great North Run 2010, which will be taking place on Sunday 19th September. I will be raising money in memory of my mum who sadly passed away in August 2009. She died of the incurable lung disease called Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis - IPF for short. She would be incredibly proud of me, but would think I was mad for even trying to do this... as I'm not the fittest person around!! In preparation for my big challenge I will be taking part in the following fun runs: Midlands Lung Run 5K, Sutton Park - 18th April 2010 BUPA 10,000, London - 31st May 2010 Please donate whatever you can. All monies will be used for further research into this terrible incurable disease, along with funding the wonderful work The British Lung Foundation carry out.
